Churro French Toast Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Pancakes:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup 2% milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 slices of French Baguette
- Butter or oil for greasing the pan
- Dulce NUT de Leche for serving
Instructions:
1. Combine Sugar and Cinnamon:
In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon together. Set aside.
2. Prepare the Egg Mixture:
In a shallow bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs, 3/4 cup milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until well combined.
3. Heat the Pan:
Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Grease with butter or oil.
4. Dip the Bread:
Dip each slice of the baguette into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are evenly coated.
5. Cook the French Toast:
Place the coated bread slices onto the preheated skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
6. Coat with Cinnamon Sugar:
Immediately after cooking, coat each slice of French toast with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Ensure both sides are generously covered.
